Dr. Pujar found his love of medicine as a teenager, when his father became seriously ill. The doctor’s brother, a surgeon, led the family through the difficult time. “We depended upon my brother to make decisions regarding my father’s care. I later joined my brother on his medical rounds as well. These experiences helped me to understand the crucial role a physician plays in a person’s health in general and life in particular.” Fast forward to today and Dr. Pujar is excited to be at Blessing, caring for kidney related needs of the community. “I want to increase awareness of kidney and kidney-related issues, help patients enjoy a better quality of life and improve access to kidney care in the area.” What will patients find when they meet Dr. Pujar? “A patient listener whose aim is to gain their confidence and satisfaction and work as a team to achieve a healthier life.” A fan of the Midwest, its four seasons and natural beauty, Dr. Pujar stays busy outside the exam room by jogging, swimming with his family, playing tennis, and reading.
