Early in my career, I observed orthopedic surgeons working very hard but always having fun and they enjoyed what they did. That is when I knew I wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon. I love what I do as an orthopedic surgeon; my job is fun and has never been work to me. I love seeing patients get better and they are very grateful for it. I see patients from 2 to 102 with my oldest patient being 108, again I enjoy what I do. I take care of people who want to get better and want do whatever it takes to get better; I love the hug from a patient on the way out of my office with no knee pain-that's cool. With all the technological advances in orthopedics such as fracture care, arthroscopy and total joint replacement, the sky is the limit to where orthopedics is going and it's constantly getting better.
