The reason I chose OB at Blessing Health Hannibal was because it's a very special experience for both mothers and fathers. You don't get to see a lot of joy and the happiness often in medicine and with OB you do. It's life-changing, really Whether it be a first-time mom or your fourth baby, having a baby is always something different, something new and always something exciting. It's all about communication, about developing a relationship. It's not one-sided and I've seen that too many times where it's the doctor giving the orders when it should be more of a two-way street. You have to listen to the patient and see what their needs are. Blessing Health Hannibal drew me in just because of the community, really. It's a nice, small, well-knit community where you can go out and it feels like home.
